Join us on the evening of Friday 26th November at the Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle upon Tyne for an opportunity to hear about the making of the documentary film, Seabirds in the City.
Starting with the story of the Tyne Kittiwakes, the film looks at the rise of urban kittiwake populations in Northern Europe, what they tell us about environmental change and how cities are learning to adapt to species on the move. The event will showcase the research behind the documentary, offer a chance to hear from the filmmakers and… see the film trailer.
It will appeal to anyone interested in urban wildlife, seabirds, and climate change. The event is sponsored by the ESRC Festival of Social Science. Doors will open at 5:30pm. Refreshments and a bar will be available.
